Meditation is the art of concentration

Pure and simple

It is simply a way of being still and focussing the mind on an object, or a word (Mantra) or simply on your breath.

When the mind is focused this way, completely absorbed on one thing, the rest of the mind quietens down.

The breath deepens and the body begins to relax.

That’s when the magic starts to happen…

You don’t just sit in lotus position AUMing away for hours straight away!

I’m here to tell you that if I can do it, then you definitely can.

Meditation like anything else, is a practice. Mention doing it in Flamstead or Herts and online.

“But I can’t sit still. There’s no way I can meditate!”

You need to practice and build up. Start small and with no expectations. Meditation may be simple, but no one ever said this process was easy! It can be bloody hard to quieten our “monkey” minds! But the benefits for us busy and stressed 21st century souls are truly worth it.
