Meditation for Beginners

This in person course is perfect for you if you are totally new to meditation or if you have always wanted to give it a try and are not sure how to begin.
In this course I will introduce you to the amazing benefits of meditation, and why we should really all be doing it!
You will learn about the different types of meditation and why it is an integral part of a yoga practice. You will learn simple techniques that you can practice easily at home on your own, and how to integrate these into your daily life to help reduce stress and tension, and to help you relax more easily.
This course can be especially helpful for those suffering from anxiety/stress.
Each in person class is an hour long, with space for some gentle stretching, explanation and practice of simple breathing techniques, meditation and discussion.
You will be invited to keep a journal, noting down your thoughts, feelings and observations throughout the course, and you will also be given practical exercises to complete at home in your own time to help develop your own meditation practice.

Yoga for Beginners

This 6-week online course will help you to really find your feet in your yoga practice! Starting from the ground up, you will learn the fundamental poses of a traditional Hatha Yoga sequence, step by step. You will learn about the philosophy of yoga and its history, AUM chanting and mantras. You will also learn traditional breathing techniques to help you relax and energise the body, and simple meditation methods. This course is perfect for anyone that has little to no experience of yoga and would like to learn the fundamentals of a yoga practice, in a safe and supportive space.
You do not need to be flexible or have any prior experience for this course.
